Remember when Christmas movies were a once a year thing?
When I was a kid I looked forward to Santa Clause is Coming to Town and Frosty the Snowman coming on television.
Today, I don't know that the excitement for those movies is there for kids as much because the movies are available year around. I just heard the song Frosty the Snowman coming from the living room and Scot and D were watching a segment of that movie movie on YouTube.
Okay guys, it's not even Halloween yet.
I admit, though, I may have started the Christmas movie thing. Yesterday I started singing, "Put one foot in front of the other...and soon you'll be walking out the door." I was trying to get D out of bed and that song came to me.
I couldn't remember what movie that song was from and went to look it up on YouTube. It's from Santa Clause is Coming to Town. So I guess that's what started the desire for Christmas videos. At least it got D out of bed, but for now I think we'll ban Christmas videos so that there will be some excitement for them when December comes.
